What Type of Beer Glass Should you Use?

A glass of beer by any other shape would still taste just as great, right? Well, apparently not. According to Nora Mcgunnigle, the shape and quality of your beer glass can play a big part in how much–  or how little– you enjoy your drink.

Louisiana brewery, Abita, has recently teamed up with glass manufacturer, Speigelau, to pair the best glass to each brew. Speigelau started by making traditional lager and Belgian glasses. After employing the expertise of tasting panels, homebrewers, and sensory specialists, the company began developing special glasses for specific beer styles.

Abita got together with Spiegelau for the release of their newest year round flagship IPA. The glass, designed especially for this beer, will keep the aromas and flavours fresh and bright. But beware – this glass won’t work for your stout.
